Warranty & Guarantee

Australian Lock Company (ALC) guarantees its' products against faulty workmanship and materials subject to fair wear and tear for a minimum period of 2 years. Any ALC product found to be defective within its normal work life will be replaced free of charge by the same or equivalent product. Electrical components used in our products come with a guarantee for up to 5 years from date of manufacture. Under this guarantee, Australian Lock Company however, assumes no liability for any of the following:

1. Failure to follow fitting instructions or improper installation.
2. Wear and tear due to improper maintenance.
3. Indirect or consequential loss or damage.
4. Removal and or replacement cost.
5. Freight /travel /travel time cost.
6. Unauthorised modification or repair to a supplied product.
7. Use of unauthorised replacement parts.
8. Product failure caused by the use of non-Australian Lock Company parts.
9. The finishes – Polished Brass Unlacquered is classified as soft finish. Soft finishes have their limitations.

Over time the protective lacquer may deteriorate either from exposure to weather, extremes of climate, incorrect cleaning procedures, frequency of use or other factors. Tarnishing or excessive wear of soft finishes is therefore not a defect of the ALC product. Deterioration over time is unavoidable. Due to the above circumstances soft finishes cannot be unconditionally guaranteed and automatic replacement is not a condition of sale.

Nothing in ALC’s Guarantee excludes, restricts or modifies any condition, warranty, right or liability implied or protected by law where to do so would render the Guarantee or any part of it, void.
